The first time I saw Laney in a friend's pasture, I instantly fell in love with her, but it all started to turn sour when I got her home and her true nature came out. She had every vice going from biting to going right brain and dragging me all ove the arena. Even after I started the Parelli program, I still wasn't getting anywhere with her. I was so frustrated that I decided to sell her. The broker was at the door with the money, but when I learned he was going to turn her into dog food, I just couldn't let her go. Then one day I met Fawn Anderson at a Parelli Clinic. She came to our facility and started to work with her. Within an hour, the transformation was already starting to take place. I learned the lesson that Love alone won't do the job. She needed that but she needed Leadership as well. Today, you wouldn't recognize her as the same horse. She has become so gentle and willing to please and is a joy to work with.
