Team Dakota Wins 2010 Dancing With The Equine Stars

"Dancing With the Equine Stars" held on Oct. 3th, 2010 at Drogheda Manor Natural Horsemanship Study Centre, was a success for everyone involved. This was the 3rd year the event was held to raise funds for the local animal shelter of the S.D&G Branch of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. (OSPCA).
A special original tapestry of the previous year's fan favourite winner, Poncho was won by Shirley Barr of Cornwall. Next year's tapestry will be of Dakota, this year's winner.
Members of the Knights of Drogheda Junior Savvy Team participated with Drogheda Manor horses. The show was designed to highlight natural horsemanship and what it can mean for both humans and horses. Emcee, Garry Meek took the audience through the world of natural horsemanship with hi s topic " Is your horse feeling like a prisoner or a partne?""
Audience members were taken through a series of games designed to show the stages of horse development by his students of natural horsemanship, ranging in age from 7 yrs to 15 yrs. T
